We are a fully integrated quarry-to-customer producer with production capacity of up to 43.3 million tonnes per annum (Mta) across Africa at the end of 2015. We are investing several billion dollars to build manufacturing plants and import/grinding terminals across Africa and by 2020 we plan to have more than 70Mta capacity across Africa and beyond.
We have operational facilities in Senegal, South Africa, Cameroon and Ghana (importation), Ethiopia, Zambia, Tanzania and are committed to building integrated production factories in Rep. Congo, Kenya, Zimbabwe and outside of Africa, Nepal. We also plan to build import or grinding facilities in Sierra Leone, Liberia and add new grinding facilities Ghana.
All the company operations at manufacturing plants and cement terminals conform to NIS ISO 9001 : 2008 Quality Management System and NIS BS OHSAS 18001 : 2007 Occupational Health Management System.

Dangote Cement is the largest company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, having listed its shares in October 2010.
Dangote Cement`s commanding position in Africa has been built through the passion and hard work of all our staff. But we are not complacent. Just as we are opening new capacity to serve Africa`s rapidly growing demand for cement, we are planning yet more factories to support even higher demand in the future, both in Nigeria and in other African countries. Keeping ahead of a growing market requires not just long-term vision, but a constant attention to our daily operations. We have some of the finest engineers on the continent; their innovative minds and dedication to operational excellence are what enable Dangote Cement to achieve such high productivity on our assets, to the benefit of customers and shareholders alike.

The Journey So Far

Over the past few years, the profitability and strong cash generation of our operations in Nigeria have helped us to expand our business across Sub-Saharan Africa with a mixture of integrated, grinding and import facilities.
We began 2015 with around 33Mta of production and import capacity in Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana and ended the year with nearly 44Mta of integrated, grinding and import capacity spanning Africa from Senegal to Ethiopia and down to South Africa.

Looking Forward

The rapid success of plants we have opened beyond Nigeria is testament to our strategy of competing on costs, quality and service, selling higher-quality cement at competitive prices to meet local needs. This success has given us the confidence to continue expanding. By 2023, we plan to have up to 75Mta of capacity by augmenting our operations in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Senegal and Zambia and establishing new facilities in the Republic of Congo, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Zimbabwe.

With this expansion, Dangote Cement will truly be a global force in cement production, operating in some of the most exciting growth markets in the world.
