Dangote Cement Honors Top Distributors with ₦15B in Rewards

Dangote Cement Plc has honoured its leading distributors and customers with ₦15 billion worth of rewards, recognising their loyalty, resilience, and exceptional performance. The 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night, held at Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, celebrated the company’s top-performing partners under the theme “Partner for Growth.” Awards included cash prizes, cement containers, high-end SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks.

President/CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, described the distributors as the “heartbeat” of the organisation, commending their dedication in ensuring Dangote products reach communities nationwide.

“Your tireless work in the field and direct engagement with our customers turn our strategies into tangible results. Today’s celebration is a testament that our growth journey for 2026 has already begun,” Dangote said.

The industrialist also reiterated Dangote Group’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the conglomerate into a $100 billion enterprise through industrial expansion, cross-border investments, and building Africa’s self-sufficiency in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure. He disclosed that Dangote Cement aims to reach a production capacity of 90 million tonnes by 2030.

“Vision 2030 goes beyond building factories. It is about empowering Africa to feed itself, power its economy, develop its people, and drive sustainable industrialisation,” Dangote said. He highlighted the launch of a ₦1 trillion ($600 million) education fund by the Aliko Dangote Foundation in December 2025, aimed at supporting over 1.3 million vulnerable Nigerian students, with focus on scholarships, STEM, TVET, and girls’ education.

In his first official appearance as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dangote Cement Plc, Emmanuel Ikazoboh emphasised the critical role distributors play in ensuring nationwide product availability. He announced that approximately ₦9 billion in cash rewards would be distributed, with additional gifts including high-end cars and CNG-powered trucks.

Ikazoboh also detailed the company’s ongoing investments in logistics and sustainability, including a plan to have all trucks CNG-powered by the end of 2027. He revealed upcoming expansions, including a greenfield two-line cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, dedicated to exports, and enhancements at the grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire, reflecting Dangote Cement’s commitment to pan-African growth.

“Your perseverance, trust, and loyalty help us maintain visibility and availability for our products nationwide. We are committed to supporting your businesses to grow bigger, stronger, and more profitable,” Ikazoboh said.

The awards night underscored Dangote Cement’s dedication to strengthening distributor partnerships, driving sustainable business practices, and advancing industrialisation across Africa.
